What are the Green Sentence Cards?

The Green Sentence Cards are green, horizontal cards with a picture on the left-hand side. There is a matching sentence next to it. The specific phonogram is highlighted in red.

How is this activity presented?

The directress begins the activity by asking the child if he remembers reading the blue sentence cards. She tells the child that these are similar, the difference is these sentence cards contain phonograms. She continues by asking the child if he knows what the picture is on the far left-hand side of the card.

The directress reminds the child what sound that specific phonogram makes. She continues to sound, blend, and read the sentence with the child. The directress encourages the child to read as many sentences as possible.
