Tree nomenclatures: three-period lesson

How is a three-period lesson done with the Tree nomenclatures?

The directress does a three-period lesson with the child to teach him the names of the different parts of a tree. She chooses one known and two unknown pictures from the unlabelled set of cards. The known picture will always be the natural coloured picture.

First period: the directress begins by telling the child the name for each picture. The child is then encouraged to repeat the names after her. The directress isolates the pictures by placing them aside each time.

Second period: the directress spends much time in this period, asking the child to show the different pictures she asks for.

Third period: the directress asks the child if he can tell her what each picture is, isolating each time by placing the pictures aside.

Consolidate the lesson by telling the child what was learnt that day.
